It all started when…

Tony presented the remote photo capture software he built at Liberty University. No one left after the presentation. Everyone wanted to know how to get it, but Liberty had no desire to be a software company, so Tony started Sharptop Software Co. and built an online photo submission software as a service platform for colleges and universities. Sharptop spun the software out into a company called CloudCard, which was later renamed to RemotePhoto.

It wasn’t a straight road though. Sharptop originally tried and eventually failed to be a custom software solution provider. In the immortal words of Garth Brooks, “Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers.”

Sharptop doesn’t really do any business anymore, but its tradition of discipling interns and helping them grow personally, professionally, relationally, financially, and spiritually continues at RemotePhoto.
